Our mission is to provide quality, student focused special education services that promotes learning and success.
Macon-Piatt Special Education has a variety of cooperative programs and services that students from all member districts may access to meet a variety of educational needs. Macon-Piatt provides quality, student focused, special education services to approximately 3,000 students.

Services offered for eligible students include hearing evaluations with an audiologist, brailling services, hearing interpreters, assistive technology, occupational therapy, orientation and mobility services, physical therapy, speech/language services, social work services, academic and behavioral support, autism support and vocational training and a variety of training based on staff needs.

Our Programs
Macon-Piatt Special Education District is a joint agreement of twelve school districts with a combined enrollment of nearly 20,000 students located in the heart of Central Illinois.
